For the flash itself, wired is the professional default: no RF interference, no phone sleep, no dropout risk at 60% through a write. The WiFi adapter is what both bootmod3 and MHD officially support and what most owners use successfully — with airplane mode on, charger connected, and the car on a maintainer. If you flash once a year, either works. If you log and flash weekly, own both.

What if the flash fails midway?
