Why There's No 'ENET Driver'

An ENET cable is a passive Ethernet connection. Your computer talks to the car with the same TCP/IP stack it uses for any network — there is nothing to install. Listings advertising an 'ENET cable driver download' are exploiting a misunderstanding (or bundling software you don't want).

The only exception: the integrated USB-C bridge chip in Type-C adapters needs a standard USB-Ethernet driver on some older Windows versions. Windows 10 (20H2+) and Windows 11 include it natively.

Windows 11 doesn't recognize the adapter — driver issue?

Almost never. Windows 11 has the bridge driver built in. If the adapter doesn't appear, check the cable seating, try another USB-C port, and test on a second device before assuming drivers.

Where do I get E-SYS / ISTA / XENTRY?

Those are third-party diagnostic platforms with their own distribution channels and licensing — we don't host them. Our guides cover configuration once you have the software legitimately installed.

Is the Connection Tester required?

No — it's a convenience tool that packages the manual ping/IP checks into one report, mainly to speed up support tickets.
