EV architectures were designed after DoIP existed — there was no legacy CAN diagnostic estate to preserve. Battery management data volumes and OTA update sizes made Ethernet the only sane choice. The practical result: if your EV is a 2018+ model from a European brand, an ENET adapter almost certainly connects to it natively.
